Virtual Psychotherapy & Art Therapy for Adults Across Ontario

  • Virtual & Phone | 50 minutes | $160.00

Psychotherapy sessions are offered virtually through Jane App or by phone, making it easy to access support from wherever you are.

Our first sessions focus on getting to know you. We’ll explore what’s bringing you to therapy, review relevant background information such as significant life events, childhood experiences, family dynamics, relationships, and work and begin to clarify your goals. Having a shared sense of direction helps guide our work and keeps sessions meaningful and focused.

As we continue working together, sessions will build on one another and flow based on what’s most pressing for you. We’ll start sessions with a check-in to help us understand where you’re at emotionally and mentally. I may ask you about any challenges you’ve face, things that have been on your mind, while also connecting it to the broader themes and goals we are developing over time. This might include processing a recent experience, exploring patterns or working through a specific challenge.

Together, we will build insight, understand underlying emotions and beliefs and develop practical tools to support you outside of sessions. This can include strategies for managing stress, navigating relationships and responding to difficult thoughts and feelings. Sessions move at a pace that feels in step with you and attuned to your needs, with space for both reflection and skill building, along with gentle nudges and thoughtful challenge to support growth.

  • Virtual | 50 minutes | $160.00

Art therapy sessions are offered virtually through Jane App. Clients are invited to use any basic art materials they already have at home, there’s no need to purchase anything new. This often includes simple and accessible mediums such as drawing, painting or collaging.

Early sessions are centred around understanding you and what’s bringing you in. We’ll explore your current concerns, relevant life experiences, and the contexts that have shaped you, while also identifying what you’d like to shift or work toward. We’ll check in about your comfort with creativity and find a starting point that feels natural. No art experience is required!

As our work unfolds, sessions are guided by what feels most pressing and important to you. We’ll begin with a check-in and then decide together how to approach the time, whether that’s through conversation, creative exploration or a blend of both. Art-making can offer a different entry point into your internal world, helping to express, externalize or make sense of experiences that are harder to articulate. At times, this might look like working with colour, imagery or simple prompts to explore patterns, process something recent or deepen self-understanding.

Over time, we’ll build awareness of your emotional landscape and the beliefs or patterns that shape your experiences, while also developing practical ways to support you between sessions. The creative process can open up new perspectives, support reflection and offer a tangible way to track shifts over time. Our work will be responsive to your pace and needs, with space for curiosity, skill-building and thoughtful challenge as you move toward meaningful change.

Developmental & Relational Trauma

Early experiences such as emotional neglect, inconsistent caregiving or chronic invalidation can shape self-worth and relationship patterns. Therapy focuses on understanding how these early experiences shape present-day relationships, self-worth and emotional patterns, while creating space for repair and new relational experiences.

Trauma & Nervous System Healing

Trauma and chronic stress can leave the nervous system feeling stuck in survival mode. Therapy supports greater nervous system regulation, safety and resilience while gently processing traumatic experiences at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Early sessions are centred around getting to know you and what’s bringing you in. We’ll explore your current concerns, relevant experiences and begin to identify what coping strategies are currently helpful and which may no longer be serving you. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, patterns and goals, while also making space for you to ask questions and get a feel for how I work.

  • Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed or noticing patterns you’d like to better understand or change. It can also be a supportive space if you’re navigating a life transition, relationship challenges or simply wanting to better understand yourself and your emotions. You don’t need to have everything clearly defined to begin, part of the process is making sense of things together. In the first few sessions you can get a sense of whether the space, pace and approach feel like a good fit for you. You’re also welcome to ask questions and share any hesitations, so we can collaboratively determine whether therapy aligns with what you’re looking for.

  • Session frequency depends on your needs, goals and what feels manageable for you. Many clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions to build consistency and momentum, especially at the start of therapy. This can help deepen the work and support meaningful change. Over time, we can adjust the frequency based on your progress, preferences and what feels most supportive. This is something we’ll check in about together and revisit as needed.

  • My role is to support you in understanding the patterns, emotions and underlying processes that shape your experiences and relationships. I aim to offer a consistent and attuned space where you can explore your inner world more deeply. I may offer reflections, observations and gentle challenges to help expand awareness and create opportunities for change, while respecting your pace and autonomy.

  • It’s common for change in therapy to feel slow or hard to see at first. Often, it shows up in small ways, like noticing your thoughts more clearly, responding a bit differently in familiar situations or being a little more compassionate with yourself. Those shifts can be easy to miss while they’re happening.

Therapy is a space where you can show up as you are, without pressure to have it all figured out. From there, change tends to happen gradually, and sometimes in ways that feel uncomfortable or unfamiliar at first.

If you ever feel unsure about your progress or like things aren’t shifting, that’s something we can talk about openly. Your feedback is an important part of the process, and we can adjust our work together to better support you!

  • The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and what you’re hoping to work through. Some clients attend for a shorter period focused on a specific concern, while others engage in longer-term work to explore deeper patterns. We’ll revisit this together as therapy progresses.
